Green in the office: Air-purifying plants

Enhance the office with an air-purifying indoor plant. These plants add a fresh green touch to the interior and maintain the humidity level, resulting in cleaner and fresher air in the space. Clean air enhances your focus on work. Improved concentration leads to more effective work and increased productivity.

Every indoor plant produces oxygen, but not all indoor plants have air-purifying properties. Air-purifying indoor plants convert CO2 into oxygen during the day and release water vapor, improving humidity. They can also break down ‘unpleasant odors,’ acting as natural air fresheners. These plants enhance the indoor environment, making you feel more comfortable and better able to concentrate. Ideal for the office!

These natural air fresheners are the perfect office plants.

Keep your desk tidy

It’s easier to focus when there’s order. Therefore, it’s essential to keep your workspace tidy. Remove dirty cups, organize your papers in folders or trays, and keep on your desk only what you really need: your computer, a notebook, a pen, and something to drink.

  • Start by sorting all loose papers.
Dispose of what you don’t need in the recycling bin.
Put items you need to refer to later in a tray (or store your papers vertically to save space).
Keep important items in a folder with tabs for easy retrieval.
  • Get rid of any excess or broken pens. Usually, three pens, a pencil, and a marker are sufficient.
  • Store small items like staples, paperclips, and an eraser in a container or dish.
  • Take notes in a notebook or journal instead of on loose sheets.
  • Bundle (charging) cords with Velcro straps.
  • Ask yourself about all other items: do I really need this on my desk?

A healthy workspace

An ergonomic workspace ensures that you can perform optimally by avoiding unnecessary work-related discomfort or illnesses. The relevance of a well-configured workspace is often underestimated. Ergonomics in the workplace supports your movements and minimizes physical strain. It’s important to configure your work environment appropriately and adhere to certain behavioral rules.

When setting up your workspace, think about your desk (chair), monitor, mouse and keyboard. When everything is properly adjusted to your body, it promotes the perfect posture and reduces physical discomfort.
